This book was on my to-read list anyway, but vols. 1-3 of this series also fit three of my BINGO squares: a book with a non-human protagonist, a book that starts with the letter B, and...oh right, I actually decided to use "Pilu" as a book with a magical creature and read "In a Closed Room" for my book with a green cover. So if I get tired of "Beasts of Burden" I can always stop after vol. 2.
