I was wondering when we would get into Lance's father's disappearance. Guess it's this book

DNF at 7%. Not really in the mood / bored.

…rows upon rows of plain, pale markers. Sacrifice & heartbreak organized w/military precision. …. She wanted a tornado to sweep them up, to smash & scatter them, to leave these identically shaped markers as broken as all the people left behind.

What year does this story take place in? John (Morgan’s husband & the girls’ dad) died in 2015 (he was around 33).

Lance’s dad disappeared 23 years ago, when he was 10.

So he’s 33. I forget how old Morgan is.

This is my fave of the series thus far. It’s a bit faster-paced and I’m enjoying the development of individual characters and their relationships with one another. I do wish Morgan would trust herself more, and her basic instincts, but I understand her not doing so moves the story forward. :)

Sadly this one was so full of coincidences, brutal people left and right (almost every witness was a perpetrator in some way or another), a killer on the spree who kills witnesses without a second thought but keeps the two main protagonists alive long enough to let them escape ... nope, this was surely not the highlight of the series.
2 stars for story telling. 0 for story idea.

So many coincidences ... did the author run out of ideas to make a story? :(

Hard to put it down!

The tear inducing cemetery scene about killed me well not really but you get the idea. However I find myself rolling my eyes alot between yet another stalker and yet another attempted choking and now the school scene. I like Morgan Dane because she’s a strong woman but she’s so SMUG and self righteous.

Loving it and will finish tonight or early tomorrow.
