Im actually shocked. No adaptation I've ever seen has included the Persian. Like I knew he existed just from knowing about the book but I didn't know his character was so crucial to like the rest of the story. And to even know who the fuck the Phantom was before he was the Phantom. It seems like the Persian's knowledge of Erik just kind of gets lumped in with other characters instead of just including him.
