Being a hostage is worse than being in prison. In prison, you know why you've been locked up. There's a reason. Whether it's right or wrong, at least there's a reason. But being a hostage is just bad luck.

I haven't read this book in awhile and I'm glad I got back into it. I forgot how good the story was. For it only being a man sitting alone in a room the story is very intriguing.

When I first started reading hostage I was hooked by the first few pages. In the book, the protagonist gets kidnapped on page two. And right before he talks about how "for the first time, [he] was alone sleeping in the annex"(Delisle 12). That made me wonder because maybe it was planned that he was alone in the building that night. Maybe his company planned for him to get kidnaped.

It's terrible and makes me angry every chapter! Can't imaging dealing with people like those like him.

the guy held hostage got switched places to go to another spot.

The protagonist starts to talk to himself and says, "Oh man! What are you doing? You're locked to a radiator and listen to you! "Goodnight"'(Delisle 97).

The protagonist gets moved to a new location and while there he says, "This can't go on forever. A week, maximum"(Delisle 52).

The protagonist just got kidnapped in the book and while he is being held at gun point he thinks, What are they going to do o me? I panicked. My imagination ran wild(Delisle 21).

the people that had him held hostage had took him in somewhere and was still tied up and couldnt call for help because he would be killed.

people came to kidnap the guy and now the have him in a random room by him self

long time no update here! I'm somehow on a reading hiatus

the setting in the book is a guy in a room hand cuff but i am at the part were he escapes so now he is in they woods

they main character is this guy who got kidnapped and his main goal is to escape.

the current conflict in my book is them moving him to another house and putting him in a closet

the main character is hopful and confident

i just started this book this week and so far he was kidnap and hes being held hosteg and i think that he is going to get set free

i feel like if he took the first chance he got he could have made the escape a lot easer or ger a guard dog and a gun than he wouldn't have been kidnaped

Man, how can someone make a whole book where basically nothing happens? And also have that same whole book still be so compelling

Seems like torture. I suppose if we read this book, we may be less inclined to complain about our lives.

It really is worse to be taken hostage than to be a prisoner. I imagine the worst situations in life are when expectations aren’t met. Also, how is it possible to do nothing for so long?

I’ve been meaning to read this book for years. Right up my alley. Pages are flying by though. For a 400+ page book, there isn’t a whole lot of content per page… especially considering the dude’s in an empty room lol. Also he’s abducted on my birthday eeeesh

He has been moved a couple times now and has been in the car more often. The guys that kidnapped him are starting to get a little more aggresive he thinks that there was supposed to be a trade made but there wasn't. So i predict that hes going to be there longer then he thinks

This week I read about how the guy got transported to a different home and i was able inference that he just wanted to go home because hes been missing for just about a month and the guys that kidnapped him have let him out and spend some time with them then puts him back in his room for the night till morning for the bathroom "shower' and food.

I picked this book because it is something different from what I have read and its something that i know and find their story interesting.
