Status Updates From Hit the Ground Running

So far good

whoop this book sounds very... intriging...

For what's essentially a hi/low book, this is really slow. It's written in third person which, I think, was the wrong choice. A first-person narrative about a girl running from CPS with her younger brother? That would make this a bigger page turner than it is.

„Since it all happened, since her mothers death, he had told her he’d been so cold, cold to the bone, cold right through. The whole world had dimmed for all of them.“

Enjoying this so far, the two main characters are interesting and I'm excited by the mystery too and how the children will get out of this.
