I like it a lot so far!

Loving this!

Yeah, my excitement over this book was short lived. She started off great but then went to focus on the character's illegal immigrant issues and the challenges became an afterthought that were not well thought out or all that interesting. I'm tired of politics and get very stabby when it is a topic glaringly present in my escape reading.

The book started well; drew me in immediately. However, it's starting to drag. Nothing seems to really be happening- she has all these intense trials, but they are really anticlimactic so far. Plus, if a hotel knows that a chandelier resets and regrows itself every so often wouldn't they protect people from taking under it ... And why would the staff be shocked that it fell??
