Status Updates From The French Impressionist

This is another ancient Netgalley title, so if I don’t like it after I’m 10% in I’ll DNF and review unfinished to clean up my feedback ratio.

It has taken me MONTHS to get this far because I hate the main character that much.

I wish the author would have written out how Rosemary sounds to others when she speaks so I could understand. Perhaps she didn't on purpose because it is from Rosemary's perspective, but she is saying the words clearly to the reader and then saying no one understands her.

The book isn't bad, but I don't like that I constantly feel like I'm missing a huge chunk of something going on.

I am not enjoying this book at all. If it wasn't part of a book tour I am Involved in. I really don't think I would even finish the book to be completely honest. I don't care for the main character at all.

I'm only 19% in to this book and I'm starting to get really, really, really angry at this poor girl's mom. The crap she is doing! And the fact that no other person has stepped in to help this girl. Grrrrr....

It's weird, every time Rosemary refers to her host parents as her "new parents", it sounds like she's something of a stalker. It's creepy.
