Status Updates From The 7th Function of Language

I love Binet’s style (or at the very the style captured by the translation). It has a fluidity that draws you in, interweaving all its little threads of intrigue

I started this and then dropped it, mainly b/c I was *gasp* scandalized by an account of a bath-house scene involving Foucault's private parts...uh, no thank you. But Binet is such a good writer and the premise is both hilarious and intriguing that I can't help but return to it. If there are any more glimpses of Foucault's unmentionables, I'll skim, or skip those bits (sorrynotsorry for the pun).

I find Binet's septième fonction a hoot, been chuckling for hours. If you've ever suffered through a grad class lit theory (curse you, deconstruction), you'll love this. Available in English trans.
