themes of found family, sense of belonging, grief, loss, family estrangement, identity, what makes humans human, being other/ed, depression, repression, coming to terms with death and with your own life, responsibility, finding joy
also great humor. as should be obvious by the town in which this all happens being called podunk, oklahoma. because life is too serious to not be a dork

oscar came to podunk for a writing sabbatical, not for a sense of belonging or found family, and certainly not for rather terrifying supernatural encounters. ultimately, oscar must do more than risk his life for his friends- he must come to terms with his own past and the fact that the human sometimes poses more of a threat than the paranormal.

it used to be my routine to check all the many different webcomics i loved as they updated. the past few years i haven't been able to do that, and so now i'm catching up with them as i can, one by one.
this is one of my very favorites- check it out: wildelifecomic.com/
