In other news, I think my ship is sailing. :P

*wants to shove two characters into the volcanic vents* But also, yay for Graysha finally standing up for herself to Mr. Jerkface!!!

Almost at the halfway point!

No spoilers, but someone attempted murder via infecting someone through their nasal passages with bioengineered bacteria (insulin producing ones). When the other characters first heard about the person's illness they were afraid it was a mutated virus about to start an epidemic AND the victim now has loss of taste and smell. Like, I know this was first pubbed in 91 and repubbed in 2018, but it's still too soo. XD

*wants to punch Paul's condescending, womanizing face* My mom, who read already, says he gets his comeuppance, though, so I shall eagerly await that chapter.



*turns page and finds someone has been poisoned* Ah, much better.

Graysha and Lindon have barely interacted yet, but I ship it. Lindon's a single dad with two likable daughters; Graysha's single, smart, and capable, and they don't fully trust each other yet. It's a Hallmark movie in space. (Except written way better and any romance is a sub plot to the science and political machinations, but you get the point.)

I have been so emotionally tired with mom breaking her foot and her upcoming surgery that I'm reading this excessively slowly (falling asleep after only 5 pages most nights will do that), but the world is interesting and I'm invested in it. Here's hoping my brain and body will let me pick up the pace soon.

It's getting sooo interesting!! Paul is unsucessfully trying to flirt with Graysha ;)
