Mama Day is wild

Ay yo! Reading the romantic part of these two getting together seems a little sudden coming from George. I honestly would have preferred reading it through Ophelia’s perspective. (I also really love the fact that George only calls her Ophelia—at least in his head).

They’re both falling, but he definitely fell harder ;)

Glad to see we’re finally getting to the love story part with George and Ophelia

I can’t wait to learn more about The Other Place. The suspense built around it is enticing. (Initial Guess: It’s either the house the Wades lived in or the house Mama Day’s family lived in, or both).

Reading about Mama Day’s past is kinda nostalgic. Like hearing your grandmother tell you a story that makes so much and so little sense at the same time

I love reading things from Mama Day’s perspective. I feel like I’m following my grandmother around while she does exceptional things. The lack of formality also makes me laugh.

Ophelia & George’s relationship is not going how I expected… hopefully it gets better.

I really like how this story takes you into the past to see how this family of women operate. I’m also very interested in Mama Day’s use of old black superstitions and knowledge of nature

I love Mama Day and Abigail’s relationship. Very sisterly, very grandma

George and Cocoa’s first interaction cracks me up. I’m glad to at least know from the jump that they end up together
