Status Updates From The Poet X

had a presentation, got WAYY too anxious about it because it was literally fine and I got a great grade on it.

First impression: It’s kind of offensive to read this in a published poetry book. Made me question: What makes good art?
I’m not sure how to feel about it so far. On one hand, it’s relatable and authentic and I like the writing concept. But it’s so modern it almost feels… ridiculous in a way? Maybe I’m just not used to it.
I dunno, have to read more.
