And thus the scene is finally set for the definitive building of the Temple and messianic restoration of Eden: in Christ.

And the Temple of Solomon comes tumbling down... has the project for restoring mankind to Eden ended?

And then, the missioning of the Torah to the Gentiles under the guise of Lady Wisdom, in the so-called Wisdom literature... the Torah as it lives within the Temple in Jerusalem. Just wonderful.

And that was on the tabernacle - the portable Temple of the desert.

And that is Jesus, the eternal High-priest. And we're a third of the way through.

And the complicated institution of the Levitical priesthood. Short chapters are the best.

Pre-levitical priesthood is of overwhelming significance for the Apostolic Church, because of the conviction in New Testament and among the Fathers that the priesthood of King David and of Christ (of the Order of Melchisedech) is prior to the institution of the Levitical priesthood.

Adam the priest is a very good tradition; it's a pity that biblical scholars are only just discovering this.

The number seven. Can't wait for this book to stitch everything up in the end.

Nice. Temples need priests, so Adam was a priest, but not very good at it of course.

Well, now, who would have thought that Eden was a mountain-garden, or a garden-mountain. But this first chapter is right on the ball, calling the Garden the holy place and temple within Creation.

Excellent little intro. This book is gold.
