“Chapter the last” and boy am I surprised at how things are wrapping up…?

Tom wants to make Jim a heroic prisoner, someone who escapes through made up hardships. This is starkly contrasted with them completely misunderstanding that Jim can’t be seen as a hero by white people. Tom is projecting the stereotypes of white hero’s on Jim which he cant be in the eyes of white people. Huck doesn’t like it but follows Tom bc Tom just keeps saying it has to be this way.

So sleepy, only 9 o’clock, must go to bed soon but I want to keep getting as far as I can in this book
