Status Updates From Artie and the Grime Wave

We’re been listening to this audio book in the car - loving it.

My favourite characters are the neighbours Zoran & Oxyana.

The backseat wants to know is the character of Gladys based on our current NSW premier?

I tried to get into this via the audiobook, but there was something distracting about it. Roxburgh is amazing but his performance on it was... odd. It jut didn't fit.

However, I'm loving this book in written form.

No but really, authorial interjections are really annoying! (admittedly that last one was mildly amusing but do I have to put up with this the whole book?!)

I just saw Richard Roxburgh give a very entertaining talk and he was funny and charming and I'm currently in line to get my book signed and yet I can't help feeling horribly disappointed top find the story contains authorial interjections. I hate those!
