That was why, when he’d asked her if she’d mind stopping by his place so he could give her a list of invitees for the Little Exes thing to pass on to Harlan, she’d said simply, “Okay,” instead of asking why he had to give it to her now when Harlan wouldn’t even be back in town for another two weeks.
