This is awkward to rate. I like how Evie is portrayed in her social awkwardness, & I like Dimitri's personality. But there's so much damn THINKING & so much EXPLAINING of why they think it. There's decent plot potential here, but the spoonfed psychology won't get out of everyone's heads long enough to let it breathe.

Not sure what to make of this. But at least it's better than the other one. Evie is dumb about the villain, but I get why...he's that creepy neighborhood golden boy, the kind who swaggers around expecting womanly swoons & free passes on traffic tickets as a matter of course. Barf.

Operation 'cull the mediocre backlog' continues with another Scott harley. This is (very probably) the last chance I'll give, since it's the last one I have on-shelf. *sigh* Who knows, maybe I'll finally be struck by whatever it is that gives this author so many five-star reviews...?
