The theme of The Pledge is about a teenage girl trying to find love and still keep her commitment to god. Her commitment to God was to stay a virgin until marriage.

Courtland Murphy has a crush on a basketball player named Allen. Her dad is against her dating anyone. This might become a problem further along the story.

Cortland Murphy was a 16 year old living in a strict household when Allen her boyfriend asked her out on a date. She was a cheerleader and he was a basketball player, this is how they met. Allen was pretty popular and she wasn't as much.

I chose this book because the book cover looked like a movie called mean girls I used to watch. I think this book will be about a romantic relationship between a cheerleader and football player in high school.

In my book the main character is Courtland and her problem is trying to help her crush study but dont fall in love.

Courtland had a crush but, she wasn't allowed to date until she was 16 or 17 years old and her crush name is Allen Benson he is a basketball player and he wanted to get Courtland help with his studies.

I’m reading about The Pledge and the main characters so far is Courtland, Cory, and her momma. Courland is one of the main characters because she do cheer and she has a crush on a football player, Cory Courtland sister is also one of the main characters because she try to tell her sister what to do and there momma always tell her daughter to do whatever sport they liked and she be there for them.
