So far as the plot is developing, you get more of a sense of who Eva is as she is a mystery to both the reader and Marosi, the lieutenant who is trying to find out more about her death. I was looking forward to Eva's perspective, however I highly doubt is going to happen. For now I have to accept the POV being from a heterosexual man who might have had a one sided love for Eva, who is a lesbian.
