One complaint so far. Adamson sells Ibn al-Haytam's achievement short. He details al-Haytham's brilliant theory of optics, but neglects al-Haytham's at-least-as-important contibutions to scientific methodology and the philosophy of science. The omissions are all the more puzzling in a book specifically about philosophy. Otherwise, a compelling and informative read.
