Status Updates From The Book of Names (Legends ...

The been in this town and now it was time to leave on a boat. That was another filler chapter...

I couldn't say what that chapter was about it just sounds like they are in this new town called Threefork and new characters are being introduced. Nothing much happens...

I can't say I understood why that chapter is in the book. It doesn't move the story forward. it's the witch talking nonsense things to her helpers and how worthless they are. To bring the brothers to her so she can make them worthless like them.

I couldn't really say what that chapter was about another slow one. Just more traveling to a village and Hadyn wanting to get back home, he missed his dad.

I hope this book picks up again. I didn't really care for that chapter on Asandra's upbringing and how she was abandoned. I think that chapter could have been written better it could have been cleaned up better, one character saying one thing about her, then taking it back once he realized something. She seemed strong but the way that happened she made herself weak. Then again it could have been left out of the book.

Wow the place they were in caught fire out of nowhere but could have been the people on the outside trying to kill them. They managed to escape and the building finally collapsed in on itself bringing the roof down into the inside of the building itself, making sparks to go up. What a crazy scene this broke them.

Now I feel like we are getting somewhere the adventure has started we are coming into the world of the fey. This is just the beginning there is a queen of this world named Elysabel. There wasn't a king she had to let him go though she mentioned he was beautiful...

Seems like a sorceress is behind the things that are happening at the building the boys are at with the other travelers. This sorceress is watching them now...

Finally the story is picking up some all of a sudden there is a scene of the birds trying to attack from the outside of the building they are in. There seems to be someone or something also trying to get through the door to this place but isn't making its way in, but is it human or something else? I'm not sure...

Ok I thought it was just me. A lot of that chapter reminded me of The Lord of the Rings with all the traveling the characters are doing by foot on land. A lot of landscape descriptions and sky details. I was bored reading all of that. I thought I wasn't focused, but it's definitely this chapter. It didn't get any action until the ending when the birds started to attack...

The first slow chapter in the book so far. It just seemed like they were getting ready to take the boys somewhere so they could be on their way home. Or try to find an answer to why they were in Karac Tor and why it was happening now...

Ewan is convincing the people they met in Karac Tor that they are not the champions they are looking for that they are there by accident and they were trying to convince them that nothing happens by accident and Ewan and his brother should be getting home now they would try to figure it all out the next day...

That was a long chapter of the history of Karac Tor and what the brothers could possibly be doing in the world they have discovered. They both seem to be the answer to the prayers the people there have been waiting for as they have been without a king. How there had been peace for many years...

It's like a scene out of Harry Potter. Ewan travels to a mysterious land named Karac Tor. He sees what looks like an inner temple where worship of evil happens. A bird with many eyes was summoned with a magic tablet and was sucked right back in being once again harmless. This is when his brother comes and sees Ewan and thinks he's in danger...

This chapter is kinda interesting but a little hard to follow since Ewan has found a village of magical creatures and they are not liking him at all. Ewan doesn't know how he got there but just needs help getting out. Let's see where this goes as he is being threatened at the moment...

Well that was a little confusing Ewan was in a dream with everything and the ruins being in his head he was dreaming he was in a hole or tunnel near a tree and he could see the roots where he was but he had to ask himself was I sleep walking is this real he still doesn't know what was really going on he could obviously feel his surroundings so was he still in a dream state. He wasn't sure...

Their Dad didn't really know where these ruins came from at first, but as he compared them to other ruins he had once seen he know they were similar to viking and people of the time. He knew his boys were not going to fool him because one reason he chose this place to live was that either there was something on this land or close around this land that had ruins he knew they had found something he read them well.

Now that's a chapter I couldn't take my eyes off. I had to know how it ended. I'm so ready for the adventure to start. The boys figured they would see what the ruin could mean, and supposedly, they had to figure this out for an assignment for their class that they had been studying ancient Egypt but figuring this out was "extra credit"...

I like this book so intriguing...the boys who lost their mom still have their dad they remember how she used to make the best hot chocolate and how their dad didn't make it like she did. Now they are trying to figure out what all these writings or symbols mean that are on this arch they are drawing it out so their dad doesn't suspect anything. They are now getting along after the argument they had earlier...

Now, this is getting interesting. I like that it's about to take off. They have the tunnels cleared out, and the ravens are nowhere to be found. Now they have found an arc that they thought was a tree stump, but this arch is something they need to figure out where this is going...

Finally, a book I'm being pulled into. I need to get these books read already. I have the next 2 I have been waiting to get to. I'm wondering where this part is going with the ravens and the rolled up scrolls talking about being chosen for an adventure.
