Status Updates From Roughneck

Protect & Serve: This book gets a 4 because it literally held my attention & wouldn't let go. I loved all the suspense throughout the whole book. It's neat to find a heroine that's the protector instead of just a love interest. I think not being the norm is a major reason I really enjoyed it!! Thank-You

The Arrogant Britt a 3. It wasn't over the top but the story was compelling enough to continue reading. There were multiple situations/obstacles throughout the story that intrigued me. You have an old inheritance clause, the parents, an 8yr age difference, school, and even dreams all working in different ways. Well I'll admit that sometimes destiny is logically obvious.

Royal Prick a 3. Getting frustrated with all the grammar mistakes. We deal with aristocratic hierarchy, to me are stupid & outdated. Where a Duke hates that he has a "bastard" & doesn't want to give his title to that child so he waits 20+years to have a legitimate heir. His wife is a former mistress of a politician that gets pregnant, hates that & takes it out on her child. Power hungry people are the WORST.

Illicit Behavior-3. Making a decision to take in a new person that you've only known 24-48hrs doesn't seem logical to me. Yes I understand the darkness behind both characters. On one hand you've got a rising musician with a history of being a player looking for something more. Then you've got a beautiful young woman with a cruelly troubled past. Mix those together & you have an interesting combination.
