Status Updates From The Swimming-Pool Library

Excellent writing. Engaging story. I didn't really have sympathy for the protagonist, but still enjoyed the book. Rich vocabulary, and had me scrambling to my dictionary (real and virtual) just about every other page. This book is quite detailed, and definitely not for everyone, but worth it if you're interested in gay life in London in the 1980s and 1920s.
