Charles is an alcoholic, there's no way around this. I still don't know what Jon sees in him.

Charles really is an ass. Seriously.

I don't understand why Jon would be interested in Charles, seriously. Besides his physical appearance, that is. The way he's behaving with and talking about the children is just appalling. Jon really doesn't need that kind of asshole in his life.
(By the way, Chrétien is a really weird name when you're a French reader...)

Why is this 5yo child acting & speaking like she's three? If you're going to have a plot moppet, do it right, at least. (I can tell this book and I are going to have words.)

argh. So much random head-hopping! And to characters that aren't the MCs. No bueno.

While I liked the story, the writing was a little bland for my taste and the characters a little too perfect. Though, Chretien as the villain's name - making me think of cretin - that was pretty well done.
