I got to look over important documents about Nancy's education at the Citadel. She graduated as the first female cadet, and she also had many academic achievements. She writes about the time that many knobs told her to "stay strong" after the Kim and Jeanie scandal.

Nancy emails her mother and father about her life at campus, and how much she misses them. The email includes information about how Nancy feels disconnected from society. She also writes an email to her father about the Kim and Jeanie problem.

Nancy finally reaches graduation day. She is extremely nervous to graduate because of what happened to her at the ring hop. Her father hands her diploma to her, and she receives a standing ovation. She also reveals that she is engaged.

Nancy finally reaches the day of her ring ceremony, and she is very nervous. The male cadets are enraged that they won't be the last all male class. The College also wants to give Nancy a much smaller version of the ring, and she has to beg to get the ring at it's normal size.

During Recognition Day, Cadets are required to do 100 pushups. When they feel like they can't do anymore, their Cadre helps them finish. After, they must hold on to the company flag, where they are accepted as upperclassmen. Recognition Day marks the end of the Fourth Class System at The Citadel.

Nancy finds out during lunch one day that her father is now one of the commandants at her school. She is then allowed to room with Petra, the other woman at The Citadel. They finally reach Recognition Day, which marks the end of the fourth class system.
