Rather than seeing our role as exploiters, he sees our role as friendly partners, teasing out of the landscape more than it dreamed possible in a static state. That’s a powerful and ultimately hopeful idea.

This book has an embarrassing number of typos. Did anyone read this prior to publication? There's also a lot of repetition. The book starts with an intro to ecology, and then goes a tiny bit too in-depth on soil science. Eventually it gets into mapping, organizing the garden, etc. There are tons of pictures/diagrams (with typos), which make it hard for me as a non-visual learner to get through and grok the material.
