Really good so far, but the pagination is weird. There are normally spaced consecutive paragraphs but also double spaced 'fake' section gaps where the subject doesn't change. This is very disconcerting!

I was hoping the book would be centralised around Sirius the dog, but it's not.
Focuses more on his family/people in his life.
We'll see if it gets better, but so far I'm feeling kind of meh with this one

This last scene reminds me of “The Incredible Journey”.
I guess this book would be great for Disney movie.

I like how the book tells how Berlin is ruined by the Allies, and not make it sound like “they deserved it”.

I know this is a simple fiction, but I’m not enjoying how Sirius just “knows” what’s morally bad (being Nazi German) and morally good (being Jewish).

Story of a fictional famous dog and myriad of name drops with subtle (yet realistic) racism.

It feels like a collection of flash fiction with the same characters in them.

Part one finished.
I don’t feel any attachment to any of the characters.
And the name drop is starting to feel annoying.
Maybe because it’s a translation, but the sentences feel detached and boring.
(I bought this book without knowing it was a translation. Otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it for this very reason. )
