Status Updates From Kurt Vonnegut: The Complete...

Finished novel #2 in Book #4, Hocus Pocus. Next up is the final Vonnegut novel, Timequake, which will complete my reading of this collection. I’m excited to be getting it done before the new year, as I started it in January of this year. I’m also excited to give this book to my uncle, he’s in town for Christmas and Vonnegut is his favorite:)

Just finished the first novel in Book 4, Bluebeard. I have left Hocus Pocus, and Timequake, and after that I will be all finished. Wanting to finish in the next day or so because I’m giving these books to my uncle, who is a diehard Vonnegut fan and in town for Christmas

Finished Book #3, which consisted of Slapstick, Jailbird, Deadeye Dick, and Galapagos. Deadeye Dick and Galapagos were my favorites.

Just finished Deadeye Dick, it was decent but not my favorite. Next up is Galápagos, and then Short Stories, and then Book #3 will be done!!

Just finished Jailbird, which was very funny and interesting. Next up is Deadeye Dick

Jailbird is really funny. Vonnegut got better and better with age. Almost done with it, going to sleep and will finish it tomorrow.

Just finished the 1st novel in Book #3, Slapstick! It was really funny and very interesting and I loved it a lot. Next up is Jailbird!

Book #2 is complete!!

Just finished Breakfast of Champions! It was darkly hilarious and piqued my interest more than others from Vonnegut, though I haven’t read a bad book yet of his. I would rank the novels in this Book #2 as:

1.) Slaughterhouse-Five
2.) Breakfast of Champions
3.) Cat’s Cradle
4.) God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater

Now onto Short Stories, and then Book #2 will be finished!!
