Man, this is some bad, trashy sci-fi. The whole space battle takes place on a 2D axis, no concern for the dimensions you need to operate in when flying in space. The existence of a sophisticated future sci-fi military with no actual command structure besides "we all listen to the boss" is pretty silly.
