There are no words to describe how ridiculous James’ examples/illustrations are. I’m just a few pages in but it looks as dumb as Pragmatism: A New Name For Things Everyone Knows Already I Still Want to Explain Once More

Finished the first essay, "Does Consciousness Exist?", and I have to say that James' idea that consciousness is really a word we use to describe the process wherein there is a doubling of every experience at some intersection of thought and thing, and then a divergence across different but occasionally intersecting paths of thoughts and things, is interesting. I am not precisely sure what he is arguing against tho.

So far, only 1 essay (on consciousness) is good; everything else is quite mediocre.
