Weirder than weird were-animals bound through legends and myths around the world. In India, for example, there are stories about were-tigers, in Africa people talk of were-hyenas and in South America tales exist about were-pumas and were-jaguars.
Werewolf stories, however, are the most famous were-tales of all.

Extensive scientific research has shown that our memories are unreliable. Every time you retell a story, you actually rewrite the episode in your mind. You end up remembering the memory, not the actual event.

Neanderthals lived in Europe and Asia from about 200 000 to 40 000 years ago. They eventually dwelled alongside humans and even interbred with us. Some genes found in people today have been traced to Neanderthals. These include the gene for red hair!

I like red hair.

The word dracul means "dragon" in Romanian.

That is like saying that demon means "dragon" in English. *sigh* People just love butchering Romanian.
