Status Updates From Ruby (Mail Order Brides of ...

Pre-read: I'm reading just because I need to complete the "What's in a Name?" 2020 challenge for Christian Fiction Devourers. This fits the precious stone category. After this, I'll be done with that challenge and will have a small break before the covers challenge in July.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.

First thought: Oh, I've already read this story. (Didn't, just very similar.)
Second thought: I don't like the writing. Naive.
Third thought: There is no logical reason for lying, and every reason to tell the truth. Except, of course, for drama at a later point.
If it weren't a novella, I'd stop reading. As it is, I don't feel like I'm wasting too much time reading it.

I really enjoyed this book. It kept my interest all the way through the book. Great read.
