I have finally finished “His Only Son” and have yet to read the accompanying novella, but I need a break. I really had to push myself to finish “His Only Son.” Sr. Alas needed an editor. The five-plus-page paragraph, the redundant words and phrases. These were just a few examples of his verbose style. I found myself eventually speed reading, which I don’t like to do.
