Status Updates From Thin Air: A Ghost Story

I think I made a rather fatal mistake reading this immediately after Jon Krakauer's very real, very gut-wrenching, Into Thin Air, as in comparison this book is just giving me absolutely nothing... Feeling very underwhelmed with the lack of description so far but I've been told to persevere, so onwards I go.
