The book is getting better now that it has moved into sciencey things and out of backstory/looks.

Again, this greatly assumes a male reader. When women are mentioned as possible space heroes, it feels edited in or is just in the art, not the text. This is a funny book and nicely researched, but still.

I'm a bit annoyed with how obviously this book assumes a male reader. While female characters do get name checked occasionally, the text really only considers men. Women mostly get referenced in terms of sex.

Decided I wanted something fun to read.
