Status Updates From Cleopatra

Just finished Cleopatra by Jack Lindsay and I have to say parts of it were a terrific read while others....not so much. The book should be titled Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra. Incredibly fascinating in parts, other sections are well researched and well intentioned but manage to come across as filler. For most of the book, the Queen of the Nile herself is an ancillary subject. I am enriched by left wanting.
