Status Updates From Carmilla

Incredibly ironic how what was meant to be a lesbophobic cautionary tale turned out to be a beautifully haunting sapphic story. Loved the writing but wished it was a little bit longer. The ending felt rushed and too explanatory.

when ppl told me this book was sapphic I thought it would be a Dracula’s Daughter situation where it’s merely implied that the love between two women MIGHT be romantic. But no this is legitimately the most passionately gay book i’ve read in a long while
