Status Updates From Looking for Red

Read it last year and dropped it (don’t ask me what page because I do not know and do not care)

I enjoy this book because I felt like it was a journey with Mike who is the main character basically her journey to overcoming the grief of the loss of her brother. For instance, it says "I wonder if they see me the way I see myself now not the same never the same, but another way altogether".

Setting "It's Red who I think of every time I pick up a book, ride my bicycle or hear someone laugh Everything was always him. He was always there, and we were always us. But then one day my brother, Red just disappeared from us forever". (Angela Johson page 1-2)

He explains that when you lose someone the feelings feels like walking on a room full of broken glass barefoot. He also explains things about his aunt being weird.

More memories about red and beads he use to like.

He’s describing the girl would dance next to the grave and play with the spirit.

They were relaxing, talking, and laughing while sitting down.

The main character is talking about his brother red and the memories he had.

So far, it seems like it’s a diary which is a personal touch, but it’s not clear what’s going on. The title also doesn’t match the story. The title can be misinterpreted that Red is missing but in reality he is dead. It’s a good read... short and light but it’s not something I’d read again.
