Status Updates From The Last Kids on Earth

Inciting Incident: In the first chapter of the last kids on earth you see the main character running from a monster. Then it goes into a cliffhanger and the main character then introduces himself and what is happening in his town. After that the book flashes back 42 days ago when his world changed forever the next part that you read is him just talking until monsters and zombies start falling out of the sky.
