ya’ll this is gonna be a wild ride

Still not entirely sure I understand what I’m reading

I can never manage to stay up late to read bc I’m exhausted 😫

My not finishing the book has nothing to do with the writing style or anything like that; but with my reading slump and my impatience for the book to reveal its mystery. Once I am back in a binge-reading kind of mood, I will definitely revisit this one. The bit I did read seemed very original and interesting.

This is weird but I read some reviews that said to stick with it

Oh well... 50% in and it feels like everything we are going through could have easily fitted in the first third of the book. It is fast paced, at last...

Getting slightly bored now. The book is unexpectedly intense (and gory), yet I miss some characterdriven highlights. With everybody having expertise in their own fields, it still feels underwhelming as the agenda seems to shift every chapter.

Does this book get actually interesting soon? I’m a little bored right now.

i just think.. if you’re publishing a book and a character speaks another language… you could get someone irl who also speaks that language to check for basic grammatical mistakes…….

When I first heard about it, I thought of something a little different. But it got me intrigued.

I only ever hear about Carolyn and her siblings when this book gets pitched but so far Steve and Edwin are my favorite parts

Much better now that I've gotten into the story. I almost gave up, but the story is making more sense now.
