I really like this story. The small complaint I have is that Sloane takes *forever* to reply to someone talking to her. She's always in her head explaining things to herself but I wish she would say those things to the person too. So much is left unsaid, blurred by her reticence. Someone asks her a question and two pages of her internal dialogue later, does she finally reply. It's frustrating.
