Status Updates From Python Data Analytics

So if I've got this right it might be possible to create my own class of objects which apparently index from 1 instead of from 0.

The poor English is annoying but there's good info here, including finding something that's an improvement on Matlab(!) - namely being able to split variables into multiple variables and assign names to them in one line. On the other hand, this views vs. copies thing is a pita...

Somewhat poor English (the author is not a native speaker) makes this somewhat harder to follow than it should be. It's not unintelligible, though. Probably not a good book for a total beginner programmer.

This may have been the wrong choice of book for what I want but it's early days, so I'm not sure yet.
