Interesting argument connecting all of these philosophers - that they're all trying to create a more objective philosophical standpoint post-Descartes.

Done with the part explicitly about Kant. Holy cannoli, that was quite the treat, albeit much was too new for me to really consolidate after just a few lines of argumentation, this is a thorough account of many different kantian post-critique stances throughout his lifetime. They are contrasted with other forms of idealism, and no matter how much I did not absorb fully, I learned a ton, and will come back to it.

Might have been a bit too soon to start another book in this theme complex, but was on a trip with nothing but my kindle, and I can't say I am particularly unhappy about what I read. Luckily this book starts with a long exploration of kants position on various matters. So far foremost the epistemological position of the external world in his critical idealism, and how this differs from other idealist positionings.
