Status Updates From Not Romantic

I have to hand it to Charlotte, she tries to make a bad situation better. She looks at the glass as half-full when everyone else sees the glass half-empty. She assesses a problem and then thinks through the steps necessary to improve the situation or make it better. In modern terms, she would be a trouble shooter.

Netherfield has been let and at the Meryton Assembly, Charlotte danced the first dance with Mr. Bingley. Maria has returned from town with gossip. The militia is coming to Meryton and will quarter for the winter. Also, the Bennet cousin and heir has arrived from Kent. And, he is looking for a wife.

We are seeing a new side to Charlotte Lucas. I've always liked Charlotte. She has a history and after the reveal, I have a better understanding of her.
