Status Updates From Nacht

"After Midnight" does not permit Alice's story to become dull or stagnant. She is running face first in titled chapters that follow. Later Chapters tell more about Alice's new relations with her former coworker she meets accidentally and takes back to Serena's house in the wooded area.

This novel is a Buddy Read in progress on Splatterpunk. It is different from any Laymon novel I have read. The entire story is unravelled by the first person reliable narrator. "Alice" is writing the descriptive details of her recent personal collision with crime and murder. It is easy to become snagged by this clever ploy and the plot is ever changing.

She has lived in a garage apartment next to a beautiful home in the country with all amenities. The huge home is surrounded by woods and forest.It belongs to her best friend who married well. Horror and humor.
