Transcendental Wild Oats — pretty sure this is the one I read for my class in college. Interesting but doesn’t leave much of an impression

How I Went Out Of Service — sassy!!! Pretty funny. And very short

Work: A Story of Experience — probably my favorite short so far. Each chapter is a different career this girl tries in the pursuit of trying to be successful and find a job she loves. Very relatable!!

The Sunny Side — read it and literally cannot tell you a thing about it??

Psyche’s Art — one of the better short stories and an interesting cast of characters

Happy Women — meh. Couldn’t get into this one.

Behind a Mask — okay a fun little romance with all kinds of prospects and broken hearts and miscommunications!

Okay My Contraband was so good and so interesting. Obviously written in a very different time and culture and some of the language would no longer be appropriate, but I loved the relationship between the two characters and the unity they experience despite their differences

Okay as a collection of short works, I feel like each needs an update? The first Hospital Sketches was great. I have a fascination with war nurses and the Civil War front was quite intriguing!!
