Love this series!!!!

Book 5 was ok. I personally don't like this style of controlling romance, but that's me. I did like the commitment & level of loyalty Jackson showed in his everyday life in his past & future. I was more impressed with how the romance finished out. It was extremely romantic!

Book 4 was a lot better that the others except for the retelling of various scenes verbatim. This book had less "character thinking" in it & it really worked for me to the point that I think Biscuit is my favorite character. I loved to fact that he stepped up & became responsible when the need arose. That to me makes him a hero in my heart better than the others.

OMG, OMG!! Another one of my pet peeves; word for word reenactment of previously told scenes. Yes I know the author says that each of these books are standalone, then don't number them & place them in the same series category. Ultimately these 5 books ARE in fact connected & related to each other in some sort of way. UGH!!

Oops book 3 Otis & Sam!

I knew I'd love Otis & I do! I love the fact he was able to stick to his gut instincts & live with the results. I also love that he & Sam were offered a second chance in everything. (Read the story & you'll understand.) I still hate the fact that I take (extremely long) multiple breaks throughout these stories. But I also cannot get enough of these characters either!

Book 2 wasn't as bad, but still had too much "character thinking". I've come to love the characters & the way they interact with each other. Cambio has touched my heart but I seriously have a soft spot for Otis. I'm also glad that Avery is helping Sydney. That will go a long way.

Not done with book 2 yet & I'm still disappointed in the writing style. There's still too much " character thinking" going on. I will say this when the characters do interact it's wonderful. I think that's my main reason for not giving up on these books. I'm really interested in the story behind the "character thinking".

Book 1 wasn't what I expected. I enjoyed the plot of the story. How it was delivered that wasn't my favorite. I get that there will always be characters that will think to themselves, but to have multiple paragraphs or full chapters? Just puts me to sleep or just flat out irritates me. I would rather have more interaction between the characters in the story. Now off to see how book 2 does.

I'm giving the author a chance. One, because I haven't found a male romance author per se that I absolutely can't live without. Two, I love a good Bad Boy MC romance.
