Status Updates From The Philosophy of Hegel

From the Preface (by Carl J. Friedrich):

Someone who knows my other work may well be surprised to find me dealing with Hegel. For the philosophy of Hegel has always seemed to me fundamentally wrong. Perhaps this very prejudice is responsible for my undertaking this re-evaluations.

Reading this mostly for the Preface and the Introduction by Carl J. Friedrich (around 60 pages in total).

I understand the need to edit passages for this compilation but some are exceedingly annoying. I am very interested in what Hegel, a guy so obsessed with spirit and ‘Oneness’ has to say about ‘Mohammedanism,’ not an editorial line which states and exempts “[Here follows an extended discussion of Mohammedanism]”

Page 3--after a 60+ page introduction! I'm pretty fascinated with Hegel right now, so, so far so good. I'm enjoying it. I'll rate it after I've read more. I will say this . . . The book I just finished, Evolutionaries by Carter Phipps, among others I'm currently reading have Hegel as a common thread. It makes for some interesting reading.
