For an Essay titled "The Comic Point of View: Putting Homor in your Fiction" David Bouchier's writing is very dry and devoid of any levity.
I am not sure what I will learn about comdey from this other than what it isn't.

While Carrie Brown does have some good thoughts in magical realism, I don't believe she understands its history or why it came about in the first place.
Like many great literary style MR arose out of a genuine need to express something and not just to make stories better.
