Taking a short break from Babylon audiobook to listen to this modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice set in Cincinnati. Fun!

I’m always a sucker for a retelling of any Jane Austen story but so far everyone in this is detestable… debating if I should stick it out

Very good! A delightful new adaptation of the classic novel

If Pride & Prejudice and the Bachelor had a baby, it would be this book. But sometimes procreation is a bad thing. I enjoy the witty banter and sharp writing, but in the end it was just a well-written romance novel.

I hate her sisters and Mrs. Bennett omfg

The first time i’ve ever in the history of pride and prejudice renditions thought “darcy’s right and lizzy’s an asshole” !!!!!

We’re kind of losing the plot a little here at the end. Also, no modern declaration of love from Darcy is going to be able to compete with “I must tell you, you have bewitched me body and soul. I love, I love, I love you. I never wish to be parted from you from this day forward” so that’s unfortunate for this books big ending…

If you love pride and prejudice, this is one of those books you can read in one day. The chapters being so short really hook you in, and the storyline is really well done.

I’m hooked.

Aren't you mad? Darcy's given me grief for eavesdropping, but at least I do it competently.

Jasper had said to her, "I love you in my life," and she'd replied, "I love you in mine." It had been a triumphant and horrible moment, never replicated.

Mrs. Bennet being racist, antisemetic, and fatphobic on main isn’t necessarily out of character? If you were to extrapolate that far. But it’s certainly not a choice I would have made
